I'm wondering who is qualified to give a benediction after a church service. At my church, no matter who preaches (with the possible excpetion of guest preachers), only the main pastor gives a benediction. For example, if the assistant pastor or an elder preaches, then after the service their is no benediction given. I've always found this a bit strange. Is there a reason for this?
