I was under the impression that each individual congregation within the EPC could do whatever they wanted and that the presiding presbytery had no authority to demand that a particular congregation adhere to their decisions. Being a "loose" denomination, there is much "freedom" given to the individual congregations. The EPC uses the old "lowest common denominator theology" as its base.
