“On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not overcome it.” There are five things in these words which demand your attention:

1. A Building: “My Church”
2. A Builder: Christ says, “I will build My Church”
3. A Foundation: “On this rock I will build My Church”
4. Perils Implied: “The gates of hell”
5. Security Asserted: “The gates of hell will not overcome it”

With the ever expanding visible church around the world and it seems an ever expanding inclusion of the world in it, which constantly changes the very definition of the term "church", there is inarguably a need to go back to the basics and remind people of what Christ's "True Church" really is. This month's article will hopefully accomplish that need and perhaps even introduce those who are new to the faith to the Church, the Bride of Christ as it is found in Scripture. We hope, D.v. to expand on this subject in the future, for there is much that needs to be studied.

You can read this article now by going here: The True Church, which is in the Article of the Month section of The Highway website.

And, there is a link to this article in the "Ecclesiology" section of Calvinism and the Reformed Faith section.
