The Highway Forums Resources HELP Forum Lost posts

I have had a few posts disappear lately. It cant be the Admin. deleting them without informing me - surely not......

Oh contráre, ye of little respect for the Forum Guidelines. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/scold.gif" alt="" /> It is clearly stated that "frivolous" posts will be deleted at the discretion of the Staff. There is no mention of the Staff having to inform you beforehand that they intend to delete a "frivolous" post. If you were to post something that was seriously in error, you would then get a warning to cease and desist from posting on that topic further, etc. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/evilgrin.gif" alt="" />

You are not being singled out.... !! The fact is, there are some members who have expressed their discontentment about clicking on posts only to find an "Amen!" or even just a Smiley and nothing else. This can be rather aggravating to those who read the messages in Threaded Mode and there is a long thread where they typically have to scroll down to read new replies. And to do so only to find a [clapping] in the reply with no content, especially when the topic has been a seriously discussed one, can and is a bit irritating.

So, the Staff is going to be a little more "aggressive" without being overly so, concerning these types of messages from now on.

Why dont you post all those type of posts for us to see on a seperate forum so those of us who want to read them can ?

What's to read when all there is in the reply is a Smiley or simply, "I agree!"? If the replies are Off-Topic, you have the option to start a new thread. Simple, huh?

And you want me to add another Forum just for these type messages which take up valuable database space? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> Perhaps you should buy your own Board and that way you can allow people to post anything they want and not worry about some censorial-crazed bunch of Moderators. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/giggle.gif" alt="" />
