Dear Help Forum,

Help, help, help.

When I sign on to my Microsoft Outlook program, I get stuff from The Highway. I get all of the previous days postings and sometimes messages from members. When I get a message, I have been responding by clicking my "reply" icon on the Microsoft Outlook bar. I have evidently been annoying some of the head honchos of The Board. Sorry.

I will try to spend some additional time reading the FAQ page.

LEJ
LEJ,

The e-mails that are sent when you subscribe to one or more forums are simply a "digest", a compilation of the days posts for a particular forum(s). Likewise, when one enables the option to have any replies to one of their posts e-mailed to them, all they get is a notification of such.

In neither case can these messages be replied to via clicking the "Reply" button in their e-mail client. Again, they are simply notifications and nothing more. If a reply is desired, then you must return to the Board and go to the post(s) in question and reply to them.

I hope this clears the matter up. Good question. And, perhaps this should motivate me to add, if possible, a warning message to those e-mails that they cannot be replied to.
Go to the CONTROL PANEL at the top of the page and then go to SBUSCRIBE and UNSUBSCRIBE (near the bottom of the page under MAIN CONFIGURATION ) and check your settings. This may be the solution!
Joe,

Just as a point of interest, since you mentioned the "Subscribe & Unsubscribe" feature, when you first open a specific Forum, e.g., Theology Forum, at the very bottom of the page you will see a link where you can "Subscribe/Unsubscribe to a board". Clicking this link will automatically open that section you mentioned instead of going through the Control Panel.

As I wrote to LEJ, the problem isn't that he might be subscribed to a forum, but rather that he is trying to reply to the messages in the e-mail itself instead of returning to the Board to do so.
