I was reading a thread over on the Baptists Discussing Reformation board that was linked to in the Discerning Reader thread, and one poster mentioned several times some sort of big gathering this November of a number of several big theological "sombodies" to table some sort of response to NPP, similar to what happened with ECT back in the 90's.
Does anybody know anything about this at all? I tried asking there, but I couldn't register due to server troubles.

Yes, James White of Alpha and Omega ministries will be debating Doug Wilson of Credenda Agenda fame on the nature of trinitarian baptism and the New Covenant. The topic is something like, "Is trinitarian baptism only necessary for admittance into the New Covenant." Wilson supports the Auburnism position that as long as a person is baptised according to the trinitarian formula, then that person, regardless of their theological heresy, is considered apart of the New Covenant community. You can get more info on the debate here: www.aomin.orgFred

Wow! Me too!
I'm using my vacation days this year for a family vacation, but I really want to go on an Alpha and Omeage Ministries cruise sometime! Too bad I can't this year because of the conference and the theme of justification, which God has been giving me an increasing appreciation of lately!
True godliness is a sincere feeling which loves God as Father as much as it fears and reverences Him as Lord, embraces His righteousness, and dreads offending Him worse than death~ Calvin
