How may I retrieve replies to my personal messages? Must I print a hard copy before I send them off?

Or, have all of my replies been sucked up by black holes in cyberspace?

I'm not quite clear on what you are asking? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" /> When someone replies to a PM you have sent to them, it will arrive in your "Inbox". There are several New PM notifications that you will see here; e.g., the flashing envelope in the upper left-hand corner of the main Menubar at the top of the page, on the Entrance Page and on the right, there will be a text notification, etc.

But you are going to have to be a little more specific in your question if this isn't what you are wanting to know. There's several PM features available here depending upon your wants/needs.

The problem is that if I want to go back and look at my own
reply to a received personal message, from a few days ago, I can't find it, this even though I have not deleted the original message. The original message tells me that I have replied but where is my reply?

I know there is a simple solution to this as my computer skills are on par with your understanding of "Ole's walk across an un-frozen lake".

I demand <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bash.gif" alt="" /> to know where you have hidden my replies! Or else I am going to call the police! (They have GUNS)

Before you send a PM you have to be sure to check off the little box that reads, "I want to keep a copy of my message." If you don't, no copy will be saved.

So - it is true that cyberspace black holes have exterminated my replies.

Sometimes I think that if I had power as some people believe they do, I would go back to living in tents with smoke signals. I wonder if anyone agrees that along with the use of computers comes the greatest prolification of the good (The education of believers and the proclamation of the Gospel) and the greatest evil (The communication and presentation of the deceit of Satan) that our world has seen to date.

As Kyle instructed you, IF you would like to save a copy of a reply, you simply need to check that option before sending it and a copy will be saved in your "Sent Private Messages" box. Clicking on that link will then give you further options, e.g., e-mailing a copy of one or more of your sent PM's to yourself which you can then save to a folder on your HDD. All PM's are subject to the 30-day automatic deletion utility here. So, if you have a PM you would like to keep permanently, you should use that feature to e-mail the PM to yourself. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
