True godliness is a sincere feeling which loves God as Father as much as it fears and reverences Him as Lord, embraces His righteousness, and dreads offending Him worse than death~ Calvin
Not that it really is an insult. It just sounds like something the world would say to us as an "insult", like, "You are so legalistic, you are Leviticus."
Of course, we know that legalism does not mean "obeying everything God has commanded of us and not doing all those things that God forbids." That's devotion to God and His Word! I see legalism as adding to those things God has commanded us to do, or it's trying to be made right before God by works.
Perhaps I should have explained myself

But that can't be right, because my parents told me I was Irish, Scot, German and English.
I'm Romans as well . . . but in addition to the Irish, Scottish, German, English, and Dutch, I've got some Italian.

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified.
Ah, could be a lamentable situation. But wait, there is yet some good news! Lamentations 3:22 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. 26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
I may not "be Psalms" but I would join you in Handel's Messiah. That is my favorite music of all times. My favorite passage is "He shall lead His flock like a Shepherd."
Trust the past to God's mercy, the present to God's love and the future to God's providence." - St. Augustine Hiraeth
We will surely join together in praising God throughout all eternity. Can you imagine how it's going to sound when we sing the Hallelujah chorus with the saints in heaven?
