I've got a copy of Spurgeon's Sermons which is supposed to be more or less complete. So I guess I'd like to have some opinions about him with regard to his theology, etc. The Baptists claim him, as far as I know. Comments?

Well, let me first remark on this book you have which claims to contain all of C.H. Spurgeon's sermons "more or less complete". Unless the book is at least 2'x2'and 10' thick, that claim is unfortunately false. It would be virtually impossible to publish a single volume of all of the man's sermons. For example, Pilgrim Publications, one of the foremost book publishers of the writings of Spurgeon has a set which consists of 63 volumes. And even that is incomplete. Now, as to who the man was... you could start by reading this short article here: Who Was C.H. Spurgeon?. In His Grace,
simul iustus et peccator
