I have recently published my translation of Revelation which is based upon Reformed principles of textual criticism and translation. The Reformers were not anti-textual criticism and some conservative reformed people are today but they did not engage in the methodology of Westcott and Hort either. The so-called Textus Receptus was not intended to be a sealed never to be altered document. John William Burgon further developed the reformed principles of textual criticism based upon a firm belief in the doctrine of God's preservation of His Word and Maurice Robinson has worked from these same principles in his collation of the New Testament. My translation is based upon the Byzantine text collated by Dr. Robinson. Throughout most of the New Testament the Textus Receptus and Byzantine text are very close, but in the book of Revelation there are many differences. Transparency is the goal in my translation. Proceeds will be used to finance the buying of books necessary for the translation of the rest of the New Testament. I have bought numerous commentaries to aid me in my translation, trying to buy the best on each book of the Bible and will need to continue to do so.
