The Highway Forums Resources HELP Forum Problem with viewing post . . .

I recently posted in the theology forum about proof texts. I came back today and saw that there are 2 replies. However, when I click on the subject link to try and view it, it starts to open the page, but gets stuck on loading at about 38%. This has happened every time I've tried to open it, and I've even let it sit for over 15 minutes, just to find that it hadn't budged. Is there something wrong with my computer that's causing it to do this? Is there any way I can circumvent opening the thread itself to view the replies?

Well, I've got good news and bad news for you.

1) The Good News: It is probably not your computer.

2) The Bad News: Unfortunately, what you are experiencing has been an ongoing problem to one degree or another here. The mySQL database for the Board sometimes gets busy and thus the slow page loading, etc. This issue has caused me no little consternation and there isn't much I can do about it.

I've probably exhausted all reasonable solutions to try and rectify the situation, but to no avail. About the only thing YOU can do is to wait it out or try again later when that happens. Sometimes, refreshing the page helps, e.g., pressing the "F5" key if you are using IE.
