Hi Folks. I am new to the board and have been unable to send private messages or e-mails to anyone on the board as yet. <br><br>Help please ?

Do you mean to say you have tried to send a PM or e-mail a copy of a forum message to someone and you are seeing "Error" messages, and thus are unable to send them? OR... do you mean you haven't been able to figure out how to send someone a Private Message or e-mail a forum message? I'm beginning to feel obsolete. I'm a mainframe programmer and all these terms are sometimes befuddling.

An Avatar is the picture you see UNDER my name to the left.

Do you mean your name in the box to the left, where carpal tunnel is underneath your name. If so, then I do not see a picture.

You might not be seeing these "Avatars" (aka: userpics) because you don't have that option enabled in your "Display Preferences". So, go to "My Home", click on the "Edit" link to the right of the "Display Preferences" and scroll down to the bottom of the page. There you will see 3 options relating to image display. The second one is what you are wanting to enable:

[color:"blue"]View user's pictures with their posts?[/color]

Just click in the "Yes", selection and then "Submit". That should do it for you.
