I just noticed that some forums don't show up unless you are logged in. Since I often browse not logged in (unless I want to post), I was just curious why. In particular, the Chatterbox Cafe. Some
of the others I can understand not showing up, but some I can't.

Some of the forums are intended for members only, which is why they will not show up if you are not logged in. The specific reasons why for each forum I couldn't tell you, although I can venture some reasons. Pilgrim undoubtedly has more information on this than I.

I was just curious, but it's not that important. I personally thought the Chatterbox Cafe had been removed because I had not logged in for such a time. Then I noticed it was back the other day.

Yes, there are some forums which cannot be accessed nor seen unless you are a registered member and logged in. This is designed to give registered members some semblance of privacy and anonymity; e.g., the Chatterbox Cafe is for the sharing of personal things, which "outsiders" may use wrongly. And, it is somewhat of a motivation to join the Board knowing there is more to be seen and benefit from by being a registered member.
