The Highway Forums Resources HELP Forum Losing posts

I've posted two posts, one just a while ago and another 2-3 days ago, and neither got posted.

In the past 2 weeks I haven't been as active on this board as normally, but am I just clicking the wrong button when sending. Seems strange that it would happen twice. I wonder if this will post.

(ah, I might be forgetting to uncheck the preview button- there are good habits and bad)

I have had the same problem in the past. I would say that about 1 out of every 50 posts I make just disappears. I too think that it's probably because I thought I had submitted the post, but I was just really looking at the preview. However, I am not certain. Regardless, it is very frustrating when you spend a long time writing a reply, post it, then when you check back again later realize that it isn't there.

I'm not sure what has happened to your posts. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/scratch1.gif" alt="" /> However, if you want to be sure your post was entered correctly and recorded properly just wait for the thread to re-appear which should now include your post. It's easy to just forget one step or another in the process of previewing your post and then submitting it but you can be sure your comments have been included by simply returning to the thread and viewing your reply. Which by the way will happen automatically shortly after it's submitted.

If you follow the above steps and are still experiencing problems just let us know.
