Hi Howard,

Yes, I did not receive your observation in a dogmatic spirit, I was just truly trying to understand the "interestingness" of the thought (i.e. relevance) in connection to the thread. I would say first and foremost the absence of children prior to the Fall would be more associated with the redemptive purposes of God to have a race of people all descended from a fallen Adam. Furthermore, it would seem to be an indication that the fall took place relatively soon after Creation.

Sincerely in Christ,

~Jason

Howard,
In reply to:
[color:"blue"]No children - thank the Lord.

Would you mind elaborating on your reasons for thanking the Lord for having no children?

In Christ,

Doesn't that seem like an odd statement though, that I would not teach my girls that they are the Lord's children. What did you think I might be teaching them?

Anyway, good communication is lost through email at times.

No children, thank the Lord? WOW. What a statement. I do remember the scriptures saying that "children are a heritage of the Lord, and again, blessed is the man that has his quiver full of them! While children don't make you any more spiritual, they surely don't make you any less. I am sad to see that particular comment. I have six, thank the Lord!

Linda

nor the blessings.

God has redeemed us as sons and daughters, and I think because I have had the kind priviledge to raise children that I have learned the lessons of what it truly means to be a daughter of the King. I do think your harshness toward others who differ from you is a testimony that you have never raised children. You can stand for truth without bashing or slaughtering the character of others. This is a lesson we teach our children well.

I wouldn't mind some Godly reverent men who are proper in their decorm and have the best interests of my daughters in mind. And of course they must beat me in hand to hand combat (There can be only ONE). After all I must know that they can protect my daughters completely. dear Howard, were is your Faith? It is God that gives us our children, it is also God that will help us to raise them when we are beggars at His Throne. No, it is not going by it self, the growing up I mean. Since the best place to be [color:red]for a born again christian is at His Throne we believe that He will give what we don't have. Praise Him Our God.

Go Purdue! So guess at it alre...
Well said: "Where is your faith?" I am glad God coolly ignored my fears of having children in order to give me the two not-entirely-perfect-but-still-joyful- blessings that I have today. I would be a sadder, more selfish person without them.

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" Eph. 3:20

Willemina, please dont worry about my faith. It is looked after very well.

It is indeed God who gives children. God also decides who cannot have children.

I might add that it is God who gives some the choice whether to have children or not.

Christ Jesus Rules.

howard
