RS holds all the right ideas but does a poor job of expressing them!
He's still my guy...
the biggest problem with this country is moral decay and lack of personal responsibility.....hence the ever growing desire to expand government and the entitlements....
I'm not saying there's not a problem with ethics in public industry and wall street
if people were actually capable of even acknowledging the Commandments as a guide to conduct themselves in all areas of life...this world would be a much better place!
but even that is an offense...I fear for the future of this nation and I have no faith in either party, Repubs are the lesser evil!
Rmney? what does the guys stand for? I think he has so much money he's bored and the POTUS seems like a cool thing for him to get involved in I guess
Obama is a radical and must go!

Just as an aside, but still on topic ... It would appear that the Republican "establishment" which seems to have been taken over by RINOs, is determined to get Mitt Romney elected. We have some serious problems with Romney and see him as a vascillating moderate. Trying to get a straight answer out of him is like trying to nail jello to the wall. In short, he is a typical politician. So, my question is... IF you (anyone) are a person who isn't particularly pragmatic but rather someone who stands more on principle... and IF Romney gets the nomination, will you vote for him on the basis of the popular cliché, "A vote for anyone else is a vote for Obama!"... Or, will you vote according to your conscience with a 'write in"? AC, I certainly share your sentiment, "Repubs are the lesser evil!". There is no perfect party to be sure, but the Republican Party has in practice, wandered far from its official platform.

So one day a liberal, a moderate, and a conservative walk into a Boston bar. And the bartender says, "What will it be today, Mitt?"I like Gingrich , despite his baggage, since he's the only one among the GOP candidates to actually get some meaningful conservative reforms passed in Washington. Once my guy Herman Cain endorsed him (kinda late, but yeah), he secured my support.

I just can't believe in such a crucial election year this is the best we can do???
Newt is political kryptonite even though he is very articulate and intelligent, sometimes his ideas are too ambitious and unorthodox
Santorum who I like gets too caught up in lengthy dialogues/discourses regarding culture wars during Q & A's which is often opporunities for the media to spin and take him out of context
Paul is like a conservative radical (without some of the moral principles) and I mean that in a bad way.....
Romney is just plain unlikable and inconsistent.....but if he runs on a solid conservative platform in the general and really distinguishes himself from Obama I will be compelled to vote for him as a defense against 4 more years of the same with Obama.
But seriously, this is all the GOP has to offer???

do you think the tea party can save the GOP or are they simply looked at as a radical fringe?

do you think the tea party can save the GOP or are they simply looked at as a radical fringe? To be honest, I don't have a clue what influence the Tea Party has. I doubt they or anyone else will be able to alter the direction the GOP is heading. The RINOs are gaining in power within the party, it seems, and thus I don't hold out much hope for things to get better. It is my view that political parties are a reflection of the society in general. Soooo, given how the USA is becoming more and more immoral and irresponsible fiscally, I expect that the GOP is going to assimilate the whims of the majority. Just my musings without any real statistical basis.

I believe I can learn some insight about God from Naomi's life in relation to the outcome of presidential elections. I believe restoration is always the purpose of God's providential oversight in my life. I also know I do not appreciate how overwhelmingly God loves his Church (and me), and how determined He is that I should have His best, even if it means pain. The message is always the same in my life: The Triune God will stop at nothing to bless His Church - His own. Whether Democrat, Republican, or Third Party the outcome may not be to my liking, but the pains of providence will show us (His Church) that God will stop at nothing to bless us.

Jeff,
It is RINO. I'm fortunate to live in a state that the GOP nominee will win fairly easily, so I can be the maverick and not vote or vote elsewhere. If I was still living in Fl, I would probably vote for Romney as being the much lesser of two evils as that state would be closely contested.
What do you think of your Canadian PM. He is supposedly a conservative, but is he really?

John, Yes, it is RINO and I have made the spelling correction... Thanks for pointing it out. What do you think of your Canadian PM. He is supposedly a conservative, but is he really? 1. Stephen Harper is not "my" Canadian PM because I haven't lived in Canada for nearly 5 years. 2. Harper is a 'moderate', somewhat akin to Romney or Huntsman with certain differences as might be expected. In Canadian politics, he is definitely a conservative.
