And thus those who go to hell would be loved. 5 pointers would say God loved and died for only the elect (limited atonement). Thus those who go to hell are not loved. A bit black and white/simplistic, but hopefully reasonably clear.

Of course, this flies in the face of the popular notion that God loves everyone without discrimination; aka: the universal love of God. At the other extreme, there are those who go too far and posit that God shows no benevolence to the wicked whatsoever, aka: hyper-Calvinism.
