My friend who asked the Dr. David Jeremiah questions which I posted in another thread asked me another question. He asked me if I know of any good T.V. preachers and after thinking about it for a while, I can't even think of one. Does anyone know of any, or is the term "good T.V. preachers" an oxymoron? Tom

I don't think I can answer that for you Tom. We do not have television and haven't had it in some time so I am not familiar with "TV Preachers." I have heard others warn about the dangers of all the TBN preachers who preach a false gospel and I have been glad that we don't have cable and are not subject to this sort of rubbish. What I can tell you about are the wonderful "old, dead fellows" who have gone before and have left us with a treasure trove of teaching which can be found here on The Highway. Why waste any more precious time? Ps 90:12 [ASV] "So teach us to number our days, That we may get us a heart of wisdom."

Thank you
I am well aware of all the wonderful "old, dead fellows" that can be found on the Highway. I am extremely thankful to the Lord for the ministry of the Highway.
Unfortunately I am all too aware of all the false teachers on T.V. today. Assuming that there are not any good sold biblical teachers on T.V. it is a crying shame. I know people who are no longer able to attend Church and although they have access to CDs of our Church services, it would be great for them to be able to watch something worthwhile. Tom

Tom, I know many folks throughout the world who are without sound churches within a reasonable driving distance and they read sermons from The Highway. Other options are to listen to audio sermons which are available on the internet. IF they don't happen to have a computer, perhaps you could minister to them by burning cd's for them to listen to. I don't think that TV is the better option. Visuals are not necessary and can be a real temptation. Another option would be for you to print off sermons from The Highway. That alone would keep you going for many years.
