I was a Ted Cruz guy all the way as I thought he was the best chance at protecting Christian values we had.... And at first I was Never Trump. But considering our military guys and other American values I think I should probably vote Trump over a wasted principled vote.... Any thoughts?

I will most likely not vote in the upcoming Presidential election. The DEMS are just plain worldly, Trump is all over the map, and a narcissist; and the libertarians are basically liberal. I am more libertarian than most of the libertarians. They just like freedom for vices, not so much less government.

Now, I can stay at home without much thought because I live in a safe red state. So, it is easy for me to practice my conscience, than say someone who lives in a battleground state.

Libertarians are strictly a rebellion movement against the GOP neoconservative military industrial complex but they have no case to challange arbitrary progressive tyranny cause they removed Godly absolutes from their political platform....so I find them to be a faux political high ground joke movement

I find Trump morally reprehensible, but minimally electable, at this stage of the game, anyway....

We were first attracted to Trump, despite his rhetoric. But as time went by the question of WHY has he allegedly moved from far left to at least median right kept gnawing away. So, we gravitated toward Cruz, even though I did not find him credible at times. Let's be totally honest, shall we? What politician isn't a liar and self-serving? The only candidate who appeared to be genuine, albeit far from perfect, was Ben Carson. But we didn't feel he was 'presidential material'. We have always maintained that a person must vote according to conscience and not be pragmatic in choosing who to vote for. What is also important is that EVERYONE must vote, including you John. grin So, what is one to do if the two 'official' candidates are unacceptable to your conscience? The Constitution allows voters to write in whoever they desire. They are not under any obligation to choose between 'official candidates'.

Now, here's the rub... It is most probable that Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee. This woman is a compulsive liar, a master of deceit, an enemy of the Constitution and to put it bluntly, she is pure evil. In this particular election, we might have to vote for Trump as our conscience would dictate that the nation as we know it will cease to exist if Hillary Clinton becomes President. Remember, most promises made by presidential candidates are fiction since Congress must approve whatever the President wants, unless of course, everything is done by 'Executive Order', which Obama is infamous. It just could be that Trump will gather around him a conservative Cabinet and appoint some conservative appointments. shrug

Lastly, what I am 100% sure of is that whoever is elected that person will be the servant of God no less than was Cyrus who was used to bring punishment upon apostate Israel. The USA is likewise apostate, i.e., it has no love of God among the overwhelming majority of people, including those espousing religion. I cannot but believe that this nation is under God's judgment for its idolatry and evil practices. The end of the Republic is most likely going to happen sooner or later. However, I would rather see it later than sooner and thus I have to vote for the less evil candidate who is electable and pray that God will use that individual to either stem the direction America has been moving for the last 150 years or even better, to reverse direction at least for a little while.

To sum up... vote according to your conscience knowing that the Sovereign LORD has ordained all things for His glory and the good of the Church, even if means the Church is subject to overt persecution.

Im voting lesser evil, from what I know of McCain and to a lesser extent Romney, which I didn't know when they ran, Trump is probably less objectionable in the long run than either of those 2.... So my conscience is telling me Trump for essentially the same reasons Pilgrim gave.... Not sure if that's voting my conscience, however.... It's more like voting out of desperation.... But God's waiting to take down the godless elite regardless, it's just a matter of his time table, but I will try to do what's best in the meantime... I'm not looking to hand over the reigns to Hillary who comes from the same Alinsky school as Barack

I lean towards the Constitution Party, but as a practical matter I don't think I can vote for their nominee in the general election. I only wish they were more supportive of a Convention of States (Article V).

Clinton is a known commodity and with her election the first and second amendments will be gutted. Trump is an unknown commodity in that where does he stand. What he has said in the past, even up to a couple of years ago; or on the campaign trail.

Who to vote for. I really have no one as even the Libertarians are too liberal, and the Constitution Party is too pro-America for me. So fortunately for me, I live in a safe red state so I can leave the ballot slot vacant. Now, if I still lived in Florida like I use to, I might have to vote for Trump as it may be a closely contested race their.

We know for a fact that Clinton will be terrible for so many freedoms that bible believing Christians rely on. Now, it might be best if we received a wake up call and these cherish freedoms go away, and we will have to depend upon God, and not our freedoms.

I agree that we cannot let that woman in the white house. Since that apparently means getting behind the Republican nominee, so be it.

Although I am a Canadian so I can't vote in the US election, I do believe that Clinton should not even be allowed to be elected. So I guess I would rather have Trump.
But if what I have gathered from Trump (and even that is not certain), Trump would not be good for Canadian interests.

And why would you think that Trump would not be good for Canadian interests? The Democrat Party here is far more similar to Canada since both believe in Socialism vs. Republic. In fact, the NDP would be closer to Obama, Clinton and Sanders, they all being FAR left.

I am well aware that the Democratic party is closer to what we have here in Canada. That is not a good thing either.
As a Canadian, I voted Conservative mainly because I can not in good conscience vote for either NDP or Liberal.
What I was referring to however, is based on what I have heard Trump say, he is not a fan of either Canada or Mexico. However, the more I hear from Trump, the more I am confused at what he actually stands for.
What appears to be consistent about him, is he will say almost anything if he thinks it will get him votes.

Are you accusing Donald Trump of being a POLITICIAN? giggle Come on, Tom, can you point to any person who has run or is running for political office who isn't 'guilty' of doing the same thing? Politicians are universally known for being liars, deceitful, masters of avoiding answering questions, self-serving, narcissists, godless (regardless of what they profess), etc.

Yes, but I don't think I remember a politician who makes me feel that way more than Trump. Lets just say that if I was an American, I would be left with a dilemma. Usually I end up voting for the lesser of two evils and although I could never vote for Hilary Clinton, I am not sure I could vote for Trump in good conscience either.
