ANOTHER difficult question that shrouds the doctrine of predestination is the question of how our sinful nature can be inherited from Adam. If we are born with a fallen nature, if we are born in sin, if we are born in a state of moral inability, how can God hold us responsible for our sins?

It's unfortunate that so many Christians have little understanding of the Fall of Adam and its effects and implications upon mankind, even upon Christians who by grace have been brought into union with the Lord Christ. So, it seemed good to me and this information, which is foundational to biblical Christianity is better known. smile

The late Dr. R.C. Sproul, known to many as one of the great defenders of the faith and teacher/pastor, wrote a chapter in his marvelous book Chosen by God, which is here reproduced by permission. My hope is that his words will be of great benefit to those who are exposed to this biblical doctrine for the first time and also to those who it will serve as a renewal.
