I watched a reasonably interesting film lastnight which is based on a true story.

Its called; Inherit the wind (1999) stars Jack Lemmon as a teacher who is prosecuted for giving evolution lessons . Its set in 1925 and also stars George C Scott.

There's an earlier version than that one, which is probably better acclaimed. George C. Scott, who was a fantastic actor no doubt, was probably a bit past his prime. Great flick though.
Ron

Boy, it's been a long time since I was the student director of that play when I was in high school, but I don't think it really addressed the gospel directly.

Howard:
You can get the reviews for the 3 TV movie versions of this story and the one movie. These are all based (loosely) according to IMDB, on the famous 1925 "Scopes Monkey Trial"
Inherit the Wind

Dave

Keep in mind Mark that Inherit the Wind was stacked against those that were creationists. And in fact is often brought out when there is a lot of news about Evolution vs Creation in the news.

Inherit the Wind: Reaping the Whirwind
Inherit the Wind (review)
