To answer that question is to fall into a trap set by the egalitarians. It is no different than arguing with the Leftists who want open borders and allow nearly anyone who wants to come into the USA to do so without having to go through the immigration process. They justify the illegal aliens (undocumented) being here by insisting they do no harm since they contribute to society, work at low paying jobs no one else wants, etc. But it makes no difference whatsoever what alleged good they do nor even the great harm they do (they majority are involved in crimes of every kind including rape and murder). The issue is they are ILLEGALLY here. They have broken federal law(s). The same applies to the roles which God has ordained for men and women in the church and home. Men are given the privilege and responsibility of being the heads (authority) and not women. So, to allow women to have authority over men is ILLEGAL. Such is a transgression of God's law and rebelling against the order of nature which God has created for mankind. Egalitarianism usurps the wisdom and decree of God. Pragmatism is no legitimate ground upon which to argue against what God has ordained. This is nothing more than what happened in the Garden of Eden...
Genesis 2:16-17 (KJV) "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
Genesis 3:1-5 (KJV) "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
Notice first the contradiction of God's prohibition of eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And secondly, the substitution of a lie using pragmatic reasoning... you will not die, but rather you will personally benefit from ignoring and violating God's law. Sure sounds like what Paul wrote, which is a summary of how mankind thought and lived after the Fall:
Romans 1:18-25 (ASV) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness; because that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them. For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, [even] his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse: because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves: for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
