Bette Midler Stars As Dolly

Golden Globe, Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award winner Bette Midler returns to Broadway stage in the musical that is world renowned known as Hello, Dolly! She will be starring alongside David Hyde Price, Midler will lead this revival of Michael Stewart's and Jerry Herman outstanding comedy as the matchmaker to Dolly Gallagher Levi, following the footsteps of Pearl Bailey, Carol Channing and the one and only Barbra Streisand. This musical is filled with golden-aged musical charm and this extravagant piece of entertainment will be inclusive of numerous Broadway showstoppers which include "Put On Your Sunday Clothes" and "It Only Takes A Moment."

Based on the play by Thornton Wilder known as The Matchmaker, this show first debuted on Broadway in the year 1964 and Carol Channing stared as a titular role. After an outrageous success it went onto win 10 Tony's in the same year's ceremony and was 5 years later updated to show on the big screens, with the cast which was led by young Michael Crawford and Barbra Streisand. In 2017 this revival will be directed by a 4 time Tony winner known as Jerry Zaks and is already nominated for at least 10 Tony Awards which will include Best Revival of a Musical.

About Hello, Dolly!

In the 1880'2 a cantankerous and extremely wealthy widower, Horace Vandergelder has decided to look for a new wife. To assist him on this mission he decides to use services on offer of a "professional matchmaker" who goes by the name Dolly Gallagher Levi. He is totally unaware that Dolly already has a match in mind from their first meeting. This match happens to be herself and now all she needs to do is to make Horace realize this.

During the original Broadway run, the musical Hello Dolly! was nominated for 11 tony Awards. The production went onto win 10 record-breaking Tony Awards. This famous musical began entertaining audiences from the 1960's and has remained a beloved Broadway musical ever since.
