Your right R.C. Sproul Jr. did receive a degree from Whitefield. He holds degrees from Grove City College and Reformed Theological Seminary, and received his D.Min. from Whitefield Theological Seminary. However, R.C. Sproul Sr. has also listed Whitefield in his bio. I don't know whether that degree was earned or honorary but it is listed along with his other degrees.
