Unfortunately, up here in Canada the left leaning media seems to be supporting the government's tyrannical agenda. Although many people think parts of it are silly, they seems to think that despite this, the government is trying to do the best for the country. Lately, in Canada I have been getting a lot of my news from a news agency called 'Rebel News'. Not sure I like their name, but I certainly believe they are reporting the news fairly and accurately.
What is probably even worse, is normally solid Churches, are taking the view that the government has not gone beyond their mandate. Many site Romans chapter 13 in support of this; but I disagree with their understanding of this passage.
