I have a question for you.
Apparently according to TV news reports, many US border crossings, they are asking Canadian travelers if they have ever smoked marijuana. Depending on the agent who asks the question, if you say yes, it can get a life time ban from entering the US. If I was asked about this, in good conscience I would need to say yes I smoked it as a teenager.
My wife and I were discussing this and she said to me if I was banned from entering the US for telling the truth; it would not stop her from going without me.
What are your thoughts on the matter?

Aparrently there have been reports of people getting a lifetime ban for even being around second hand mariquana smoke.

I would need to see/read verifiable proof of that being the case. That smacks of liberal media "fake news". IF that is true, then if asked if you ever smoked marijuana, then you must answer in the affirmative. Lying under any circumstance is clearly forbidden in Scripture, although there are some who insist that it is allowed... can you say Situation Ehtics 3 times really fast? [Linked Image]

On the second matter in regarding your wife's response... it would appear YOU have a problem. No further comment is necessary on my part. [Linked Image]

Yes, the second part actually troubled me more than the first and when she said it. I knew if I said anything at that moment it wound come out wrong, so I kept my mouth shut.

To give you an idea what I am talking about concerning pot and the US border.
I did a google search, and got quite a few hits. Here is one of them.
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/globaln...e-dangerous-even-once-its-legalized/amp/
What I find odd, is in many of the US states, such as Washington, it is legal to smoke pot.
Apparently an American imigration lawyer is advising Canada that if asked by a border agent if you have ever smoked pot, don't say anything. You are not required to answer the question. It is not lieing not answering.
I am not so sure, it is not lieing.

Confirmed, this is the case, depending on the border agent.

Giving no answer is most definitely NOT lying. Now, depending upon the border guard you get, not answering albeit it is within the law, it could cause you some delay, e.g., having you pull your car over and wait inside for someone to further "interrogate" you, just to create an inconvenience to you. I have been through that particular crossing in the video; Blaine, WA, many times. The Canadian side gave me more hassle than the U.S. side. I was hassled one time by a U.S. border guard because I didn't know the name of the town I was going to. All I knew was I was going to FedEx giggle He was really upset that I didn't know the name of the town/city and kept badgering me for about 15 minutes before he finally let me cross.
