I have been doing a fair amount of research into Marxism and Cultural Marxism. Which are philosophies built around the ideas of Karl Marx concerning economics, and later the Frankfurt Institute concerning Cultural Marxism. What I think I am noticing, is that Russia which I thought was supposed to be the model for these philosophies appears to be less Cultural Marxist than North America is moving towards. For example, North America’s slide into embracing things like LBGQT+ as well as CRT, is something that I am not seeing in Russia. In fact Vladimir Putin seems to be very much against these things. Does anyone have any knowledge of this matter?

It has been nearly 20 years since I spent any time in Russia but it was my understanding that Russians scorned homosexuality. Certainly, there are many who do practice this. Russia has had a negative population growth for many years which they are trying to reverse. Hope that helps.

Thanks Tom

During and since the Clinton's reign here in the United States, the veil was drawn partially back but is now completely down as to what the Left is fighting for... some may call it Socialism, but it is driven my the Marxist playbook. All but a few have come out of the closet and are unashamed nor shy in revealing that they have no use for a democratic republic and thus thumb their noses at the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Even in the past few days King Biden has openly stated that something he wanted to do was unconstitutional. He consulted several alleged Constitution experts and they told him that what he wanted to do was illegal and the Supreme Court ruled against him. But guess what?... he did it anyway. And the most devastating thing isn't what he did, but that there was no legal action taken nor the deed reversed or at least ignored. In some ways, the U.S. has advanced ahead of Canada and Europe in its quest to have total control of its citizens via fiat with no respect for the laws that the country is founded upon.

I wonder how many Americans actually know about this? Can you show a link to this? Tom

No, I cannot provide a link to a specific article. But when this happened lots of news outlets reported it. Of course, that there aren't many/any specific articles on this debacle shouldn't be surprising since the "drive by media" is an arm of the Democratic Party and only publishes "news" that puts the Leftists in a favorable light. And, the social media "lords" cancel and remove anything that even suggests that what the Demorats are doing is questionable or if they try and state an opposite view.

Chestnutmare,
I was looking at the comment section and if I am to believe some of the comments, illegal actions were taken with Obama when Biden was VP. Also, Trump did this himself. I do not remember the last part. Also, the illegal acts that Biden did was to make it so people could not be evicted if the Covid lockdowns made it so people could not afford to pay rent. This was something that for a short time here in B.C. Canada the government also did for a short time.

Unfortunately, up here in Canada the left leaning media seems to be supporting the government's tyrannical agenda. Although many people think parts of it are silly, they seems to think that despite this, the government is trying to do the best for the country. Lately, in Canada I have been getting a lot of my news from a news agency called 'Rebel News'. Not sure I like their name, but I certainly believe they are reporting the news fairly and accurately. What is probably even worse, is normally solid Churches, are taking the view that the government has not gone beyond their mandate. Many site Romans chapter 13 in support of this; but I disagree with their understanding of this passage.

Tom, If you read the article carefully, you would have known that the moratorium on eviction was supposed to be temporary. But due to the gov't and the CDC milking the covid fiasco as they continue to due, Biden wanted to extend the executive order after the expiration date. The courts ruled that the extension was illegal because it needed to go through Congress and voted on. The Leftists knew they couldn't get the needed votes so Biden ignored the ruling and extended the moratorium via fiat. What many don't bother to think about is that the majority of rentals are NOT owned by corporations, as if that really matters, but rather they are owned by individuals. Those individuals are dependent upon the leased and rented properties they bought for income. In short, it is a business for them no less than someone who invested in opening a restaurant, gas station, grocery store, etc. It's a lose-lose situation for all involved. The situation was created by the GOVERNMENT who locked down the country for an extended period of time and caused everyone great harm financially and emotionally. It may seem simplistic to you, but the goal of these shutdowns, social distancing and mask mandates is CONTROL of the gov't over the people. This is called Socialism/Marxism. They couldn't care less of the harm this has caused, but ironically, it is all part of the plan... create a situation where the people are dependent upon the gov't for help, especially for essentials of life; food, water, clothing, transportation and yes, living quarters. All this has been strategically planned over several years. They thrive on "never let a tragedy go to waste". And the Leftists will do WHATEVER they deem necessary to implement the total change of the country and destroying its foundation. Soooo, "law and order" is not part of the Leftist agenda. They ignore the law knowing that they are rarely held accountable for doing so. The Right is useless with few exceptions because they refuse to do what it takes to prosecute these traitors. And many of us know what needs to be done and anticipate the day when "We the people" will have to take the country back.

I did read the article, but did not catch some of the things you mentioned; I guess I need to read it again.
I will say that some of the things you said fill in some of the blanks I have been running into. Please do not misunderstand me here; I am well aware of Marxism and Cultural Marxism. In fact I did some research on Karl Marx, and a few of his follower such as Antonio Gramsci, and the Frankfurt Institute; who created Cultural Marxism and Critical Theory.
I will not bore you with more details, unless you ask.
