Hey, does anyone of a good place on the web to find out about internet radio stations. At work we can run the radio over the net. However, I have been searching stations and been having trouble finding one that I really enjoy. I have not been able to find a sight that describes the stations in enough detail to shorten my search.<br><br>

I depends upon what kind of Radio you want to listen to. I can give you a good talk radio station if you wish. If you want specifically Christian, oneplace.com has Real Audio editions of all the mainline Christian programs, ie, Grace to You, Insight for Living, etc. I am sure there are probably more out there that I am unaware of, that others may recommend.<br><br>Fred

If you are using Windows Media Player, just click the "Radio" button on the left and you will be given lots of options and sources to locate radio stations on the Internet. See the screenshot below. [img]http://www.the-highway.com/w3timages/icons/smile.gif" alt="smile" title="smile[/img]

Whoa, Pilgrim ... I didn't know you listened to Latin Pop! Now who says Calvinists can't dance?! [Linked Image]<br><br>~Jason [img]http://www.the-highway.com/w3timages/icons/laugh.gif" alt="laugh" title="laugh[/img]<br><br><br>

[img]http://www.the-highway.com/w3timages/icons/rofl.gif" alt="rofl" title="rofl[/img] Methinks you assumed from the screenshot that it was "Latin Pop" I was listening to? [Linked Image] If you will take another careful look at the screenshot you will see beside the [color:green]green arrow</font color=green> (currently playing selection) "Song: Lite Classical", which I get via [Linked Image].<br><br>But... I hope perhaps the screenshot will help rcwilly2002 to find whatever radio station he prefers. [img]http://www.the-highway.com/w3timages/icons/grin.gif" alt="grin" title="grin[/img]<br><br>

... I didn't assume anything (I saw the green "lite classical" playing), I was just pulling your leg and dying for an excuse to use the dancing smiley. Here's how to add a link using either method with the Markup Code:

1) Clickable URL: http://www.someplace.com

2) Clickable Title: Title goes here

Jason,<br><br>I figured you were just having fun [Linked Image] [color:blue]PILGRIM</font color=blue>. But I suppose I wanted to make sure that those who don't know my tastes in music weren't somehow given the wrong idea. [Linked Image]<br><br>Going off topic! I generally only listen to Internet radio using "DirecWay Radio", although I do sometimes listen to CBC and BBC, and specifically the "Lite Classical" station because it is exempt from the "FAP" (Fair Access Policy) of the provider. One is allowed 169 megs of download/upload in a 4 hour period. After than your connection is capped and speed is reduced down to that of a typical Dialup connection for 8 or 12 hours. So, by using their graciously provided radio access, I can listen to it 24/7 if desired without penalty. [img]http://www.the-highway.com/w3timages/icons/joy.gif" alt="joy" title="joy[/img]<br><br>

The examples I provided could ONLY have been viewed if I chose "Without Markup or HTML" in the Make Post: dropdown menu. Otherwise, all that would have been seen is the result of the code and not the code itself, which of course would have defeated the purpose of providing the examples. [img]http://www.the-highway.com/w3timages/icons/wink.gif" alt="wink" title="wink[/img] The text I chose for the addresses and title were deliberately generic and should have been obvious. Do you really think that there is an actual website with the address: [color:blue]http://www.someplace.com??

I'll simply accredit your question to sleep deprivation. [Linked Image]

Hey Thanks for the help (everyone)!. Right now I am listening to Newgenevaradio.com-<br><br>I am primarily listening at work, so I try to limit My personal internet searching time to lunch and before work. When I used Windows media player, I tried several christian radio stations, but when I tried stations I kept getting modern music stations. <br><br>When I did find a couple of Stations with southern type gospel, I got frustrated at the teaching programs they would play. <br><br>

rcwilly,

That's why I rarely ever listen to any alleged "Christian Radio". The vast majority of them play CCM, what you call "modern music", and the talk parts usually have some itinerant Pentecostal preacher or cult leader spouting off some "inspired" heresy which he/she then begs you to send in money so this wonderful "teaching" can continue to be broadcast throughout the world. Occasionally these stations will include a 15 to 30 minute program of R.C. Sproul or John MacArthur. laugh So, I am more than content to listen to Bach, Mozart, Paganini, Liszt, etc. throughout the day. ok
In His Grace,
