This is an unofficial poll if it had been an official poll your IP addresses would have been taken down and filed with the Black Computer run by the Gnomes of Zürich and then a report would be generated and handed in to the Bilderburgers.

Prestor,

I wish I could answer your question properly, but there are Presbyterians and then there are...[color:red]those Presbyterians...one would never wish to be called the same as the other! Nor can I answer unless you include congregationalists and independent evangelicals!

James.

Prestor,

My church is not among those listed.

You may want to modify your poll because I think you've left off too many possibilities. Or you could just add OTHERS to the list which could fill the gap.

Wes

Hmm, this gets tricky. I worship in a Reformed Congregational Church with a pastor ordained in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, and I myself am Presbyterian in polity. You could say we're loosely affiliated with the OPC, though not under its jusrisdiction. Lemme see you describe a radio button for that one! Wes,

Unfortunately, Polls are not able to be modified in any way once they are posted. Sooooooo, Prestor_John would have to create a new one and then we could trash this one, if he's interested in going to all the work in creating another one. There are more denominations existent today, with a new one appearing almost weekly, then there are members of the average church. I didn't see Presbygational in the list either, so I went with the closest thing I could find. Hey Prestor,

what's the difference between a Reformed Baptist and a Sovereign Grace Baptist?

James.

Pilgrim,

I wouldn't want Prestor to go through any trouble creating another poll but you can see by the responses being posted that the Body of Christ is broken into many pieces. Each part claiming to be the true church while pointing out the errors of the other.

Where's a Reformed Evangelical Congregational Calvinist to go these days?
In reply to:
[color:"blue"]Hey Prestor,

what's the difference between a Reformed Baptist and a Sovereign Grace Baptist?

James.

Well you know James until recently I too thought they were the same thing however, in a chat room I was informed by a Sovereign Grace Baptist that he wasn't a Reformed Baptist because the Reformed Baptist held to Covenant Theology and that was only for "paedobaptists." A statement which I find highly amusing and no doubt would be so to Fred Malone who holds to Covenant Theology and credobaptism. But of course when I pressed him to give descriptive name to his system of theology he could not. So in the interest of fairness I suppose I felt compelled to include those Calvinistic Baptists who do not consider themselves to hold to the 1689 London Confession.

In fact, I heard of some of the things you are expressing. Well you know since the SBC has so many different "types" of theology I just didn't feel comfortable saying SBC I suppose I could have said SBC (founders) or SBC (non-founders) .

Dear Prestor John,

Off the chart, I see. Congregationalist (CCCC to be exact), although Pilgrim's term presbygationalist, which I like, emphasizing Presbyterian doctrine in the context of Congregation polity, would perhaps sound better to people who think of Congregational as synonymous with the whole UCC/NCC/WCC charade.

Paul how could I leave you out! MEA CULPA! Well there is no doubt about it next time I'm just going to type in the entire encyclopedia of denominations that I have sitting at my desk. It might take some time but that way I can include everyone.
