What is it precisely? I know they attempt to combine that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and Judaism, but how does it really work? Also, what is the history behind it? I have a cousin-in-law who attends a Messianic Judaism congregation, but no one in my family has asked about it. I kinda see it as being no worse than the typical UMC church which she attended before. My cousin, her husband, died a couple of years ago.
How do they view Jesus and the atonement, and what do they do with Galatians where Paul chastise the Judiazers?

I am no expert on Messianic Judaism, however I do know that not all Messianic congregations believe the same thing. I used to go for coffee with one and found out that he believed that Christ came to restore the Jews to their original glory. Never did find out more than that though.
