Okay, I live in a terrific neighborhood. Modest homes, but very safe. In fact, as far as sex offenders are concerned, our zip code has fewer than almost any in the region (in most cases by a lot).
That said, here's the bad news: a registered sex offender happens to live on our street (about twenty houses beyond our house). I discovered this tonight by searching our zip code online. The description of this guy's offense is very nasty. Here it is:
"CHILD MOLEST-1ST-WEAPON"
I'm going to call the police tomorrow to confirm the address and get more details on the offense. Nevertheless, here's my question for you: supposing the information is up to date and he still lives there, what legal methods would you suggest for making this pervert move out of our neighborhood? In fact, if you have any ideas for getting these people out of my county, I'd be happy to become an activist.
Thanks! jmp
