For anyone who's interested and has a spot of time on their hands for reading, I would like to present this debate between Carl Trueman and Graeme Goldsworthy. It is a debate on the relative merits of systematics and biblical theology.

Revd. Dr. Graeme Goldsworthy is the author of many books on Biblical Theology, including According to Plan, Gospel and Kingdom, and Preaching the Whole Bible as Christian Scripture. He was formerly lecturer in Old Testament and Biblical Theology at Moore Theological College in Sydney.

If anyone does read this, I would love to here your views on the subject.

In my personal experience as a member in a PCA church, it seems that both my Sr. Pastor and Associate Pastor are far more focused and interested in Biblical Theology rather then Systematic Theology. Which to be honest, doesn't put me off in any way. I enjoy a Christ centered sermon every Sunday.

I believe we have had similar discussions here before about the difference between these two disciplines and it's been interesting to see how it seems that one might take precedence over another. I believe that both are valid ways to study and learn scripture and should work hand in hand to present acurate orthodox doctrine.
