You can be sure that Edwards didn't preach that the sinful idolatry of the Mohicans ought to be embraced. I have never heard any accusations that Edwards preached that the idolatry of the Mohicans ought to be embraced. But as to the truth of the matter, I have read Edwards sermon 'Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God' and with that in mind, I doubt very much that Edwards preached that the idolatry of the Mohicans ought to be embraced.
