Matthew said: Hey everone,
I'm taking an NT Survey and something that the professor said kinda bugged me. The thing that is nawing at me is this, he refers to the KJV as
"The authorized, inspired, King James version"
I'm wondering, is this a view that is held by many, that the english translation of the KJV is the only inspired Word of God, and not the origianal manuscripts? Are there not other translations that are 'inspired'? What about other contries, are thier translations not 'inspired'?
Blessings in Christ, Matthew Matthew, Your professor's view is definitely in the minority. While it is true there are a number of so-called translations these days that hardly deserve to be read, the KJV is not flawless. The original Greek and Hebrew words are what are inspired.
