That is a very worthwhile endeavor and that is part of the way I cut my Reformed teeth.
However, in the last year or so I have made a few friends at the Church I attend and two of them embraced Calvinism not via article or books, but by carefully studying the Scriptures as well as the sermons they heard from their pastors.

Someone online asked me if I believe I chose Christ or did I believe that God brought me to Christ. That got me out of my Arminian mindset.

They can explain the doctrines of Grace using both the Old and New Testaments and know where to turn when they are challenged.
This has prompted me to try to know how to do that a lot more efficiently and it is starting to pay off. Especially seeing how the Lord has brought a young man in my life that I am mentoring.
