To be honest, I don't have a clue what influence the Tea Party has. I doubt they or anyone else will be able to alter the direction the GOP is heading. The RINOs are gaining in power within the party, it seems, and thus I don't hold out much hope for things to get better. It is my view that political parties are a reflection of the society in general. Soooo, given how the USA is becoming more and more immoral and irresponsible fiscally, I expect that the GOP is going to assimilate the whims of the majority.

Just my musings without any real statistical basis. grin
