KJ2,

I can't think of a democracy in the Bible. Maybe Sodom and Gomorrah were examples of a democracy out of control. However the Bible does have a lot to say about governments and authority.

The specific purpose and function of government can be learned by a study of three brief passages of Scripture: Romans 13:3-5; I Peter 2:13,14; and I Timothy 2:1-4. In a democracy we are given the right to elect our own rulers in the voting booth. Basically we should vote for the one whose view of civil government comes closest to the Biblical teaching.

Wes
