I have heard of some reformed ministers wanting to change the whole acronym to ROSES. My problem with changing anythng is that it could easily be changed anytime it offends someone which leads to dumbing down of the gospel.
I was raised deeply arminian and dispensational but as I studied and read scripture and really began to understand TULIP I saw that this is what scripture teaches. I now embrace all 5 points.
If I can understand it so can others. I think just leaving it alone and letting scripture speak for itself is enough.

I've used this in a recent post over at 5loaves2fishes.org.nz . Go to the Q&A section and go to the thread 'Debating Calvinism'. My 'outline' is on page 2 (notice, no replies yet).
I'll stick with the tulip thanks, but may I compliment you on the nice fro you've given John Calvin in that forum. I don't believe I'm going to get it out of my head for quite some time now. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
