Thank you all for your help.. I have talked to him about much of what you guys have mentioned and I think he is finally stumped and out of excuses.. I am not sure whether he will truly think these things through and learn from them or if it was just an "argument match" with me, but I thank you none the less for giving me a foundation to work with; who knows, maybe another person will want to talk to me about it?

Clint, It is amazing what small seeds will sometimes grow into. Perhaps it will be that the Spirit will work in this man's heart and mind and convince him of the truth concerning God's love as set forth in His word, and which you have defended. "So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it" (Isa. 55:11).
