I prayed last night (half the night) about Daniel 8 and the 2,300 evenings and mornings.

Then, it hit me. Here is my explanation.

That is, in Daniel 8:14 the 2,300 evenings and mornings is tied to the creation story as that language just stands out like a sore thumb (evenings and mornings).

So I now believe this is referring to the days from creation to the fall of man. It also there talks about the seed of woman crushing the serpent’s head—the little horn of Daniel (which comes out in Jesus’ day from the 4th beast the Roman Empire).

Daniel 8:10 it talks also about the stars being cast down from heaven which is also a theme in Revelation chapter 12 (Rev 12:4).

This chapter (ch 12 of Revelation) is also loaded with images of the seed of woman and the protection of believers from the serpent (the little horn) for a time, times and half a time. We see this in Daniel 7 and Daniel 12.

Sorry, but I don't see any justification for linking the two passages; Genesis 1 and Daniel 8:14. shrug Secondly, the overwhelming majority of biblical scholars and commentators for centuries have concluded that Adam and Eve fell after a very short period of time, e.g., within the first week of their creation. One must be extremely careful when dealing with apocalyptic literature. It's easy to "see things" which don't exist and God never intended to be understood in His revelation.

The reason I liked the idea is because in the very next chapter, ch 9 you get that the covenant will be confirmed. What covenant? Gen 3:15.

The language of Daniel 8:10 is also found in Revelation 12:4.

There are a lot of commentators who assign much of Daniel’s monumental vision (to the end of all things evil) as being fulfilled by Antiochus Epiphanes also and without justification other than many commentators have said the very same thing and you just go round and round without answering a lot of what Daniel 7-12 presents.
