I must retain my skepticism re: some Canadian Prime Minister will stand firm on solid moral, ethical grounds against the liberal federal government. Well do I recall how Ralph Kline stood up against the debauchery of the federal government when it demanded that all Canadians recognize and affirm homosexual marriage. He promised to stand firm on that issue at all costs. However, in a very short time, he was told that all Federal assistance to Alberta would be stopped unless he repented of his "sin" of discrimination and rebellion against Ottawa's law via fiat on this matter. And, he crumbled, albeit reluctantly, and federal funds were restored. The weight of the universal healthcare costs far outweighed what was right.
