If this goes through, many of those charities will no longer exist.
Why? If someone sent money to me to be distributed to people in need that's where the money would to. Tax exemptions would have absolutely no negative affect on me. The inability of the donor to write off their contribution on their tax forms is where the issue lies and thus what I said and you agreed with the donor's reason for donating is questionable.
