Having been reformed for a while now, and havinf taken Soteriology in an arminian-credobaptist Bible college, it seems to me the question boils down to this...

Who controls the efficacy of salvation?

A) Man's will

or

B) God's grace

The sovreignty issue basically boils down to the same notion. Does God save, or only attempt to save? Does God attempt to save all mankind ineffectually, or effectually save those He chooses? I have never heard arminians explain how substitutionary atonement is only an attempt to save.

God bless,

william

Exactly. I attend General Baptist Bible college. These folks are extremely arminian. A few listen to my "rantings", but a majority either become hostile, or refuse to listen any longer, or both. Most will probably be glad I'm gone after this semester. I found my way here from the charismatic articles, and saw a message board was available. Thanks. Keep up the good work, ya'll.

God bless,

william
