Well several would fit, but your sermon needs a good intro. After you write it your title will probably come..... What I have written below
IS NOT it, but you will get the drift none-the-less. The title needs to create interest and draw everyone in. ..... In this one everyone will desire to know about the "ugly fish." The intro should be app 2-3 min .... (normally)
The Ugly Fish and the Call of Jesus
Introduction:
The Sea Raven is one of the ugliest fish in existence. They live in the cold waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. This species can be found on rocky bottoms with sand or mud, or among seaweeds. The Sea Raven has the ability to pump itself up with air when removed from the water. Coloration is variable from spectacular reds to yellows and oranges.
Sea Raven ......
Many so-called Christians are like the Sea Raven. When they leave Church they live in the cold waters of their own ideals instead of embracing Christ daily in their lives. They live in the muddy waters of life and are entangled in the seaweed of the world's trappings. They get all pumped up when they are in Church on Sunday, but because their personal lives are so stained with the colors of the world, they are but a bucket of hot air to others.
Depravity has made several ugly fish..... (briefly explain). However, Jesus caught us and transformed us into beautiful creatures of His sea (name your fish, describe it, and explain its positive qualities ....).
Of course you could do a comparison study of the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Fisherman. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
