If anyone is interested,The Institutes of the Christian Religion, books 1,2 and 3 are available for free download to mp3 or text at archive.org.
This site is also great for most all of the old time radio programs.

OR... Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion, in its entirety, can be downloaded right from The Highway here: http://the-highway.com/calvin.exe. grin

In addition, also on The Highway is this gem: Refcon3.

Quote:
Reformed Confessions is a Windows Help file containing several historical and Reformed Christian Confessions. Use it like you would any other Windows Help file (see screenshot below). I hope all who use it may gain a deeper understanding of the Bible, theology, and Christian history, and so ultimately grow in their walk with Christ. The texts given here are either in the public domain or are used with permission.

Organization - The confessions are organized by chapter or article. (In the case of the Waldensian Confession, the articles are grouped because they are so small.) The catechism questions are grouped topically and are set up in such a way that one can view all the questions (though not necessarily the Bible references) on a particular page without having to scroll up or down, assuming a full screen and use of the original font size (Arial 10). The exception is the Heidelberg Catechism, which is organized based on Lord's Days. Some confessions and catechisms, such as the French Confession or Larger Catechism, have brief descriptions in parentheses beside the articles or questions on a document's Table of Contents page. These carry no official or authorized status; they are just reading aids I have added.

For those running Windows Vista or Windows 7, there is a needed "patch" to be able to run this program because Microsoft abandoned running ".hlp" files on these two new systems. The patch for either (they are different) can be obtained also from The Highway using either of the appropriate links below:

- Vista Help File Fix

- Windows 7 Help File Fix (both x86 [32-bit] or x64 [64-bit] are included)

To install this fix, simply double click on the included ".msu" file.

There is so much more to The Highway than what meets the eye. The Highway is a tremendous resource for the student of the Reformed faith, with over 1,600 articles, sermons and books, plus as you discovered, software to explore and study the various confessions and creeds, and valuable documents from the past. I think that many people who come here rarely explore the depths of the resources that avail themselves here on The Highway.

So a thank you for the opportunity to point these things out so that more people can discover them also.
