Unlike many Canadians, I am not a Trump hater.
However, with the Canadian dollar being so low, and all the unknowns.
I am seeing a lot of Canadians cancel their vacations to the USA and not even passing through the USA to other locations.

My wife and I over the last 12 years or so, have found cruising to be one of the best bangs for the buck. Mainly because it includes meals and lodging.

Most of the cruises however, we would probably need to spend at least one day in the USA. Which is not really a problem financially.
However, I can’t help but think about what people are saying about uncertainty about Canadian staying in the US.

I thought I might get some opinions on that from some of my American friends.

If you think you can help in that area; please say something.

rofl Although there are some great Canadians we know, unlike the ones you have to deal with, evidently who are suffering from "cranial rectosis", methinks most of us here would definitely not want Canada to be part of the U.S. Why? Because it is bad enough when a Red State (politically conservative) has a bunch of people moving in from a solid Blue State (politically liberal/Left), e.g., California, New York, Massachusetts, et al and bring their politics with them. It makes for serious problems. New Hampshire where I live was once a true FREE red state (politically conservative) until there was a migration into it from Vermont and New York. Now it is "Purple" and it is difficult to get a Conservative/Republican into the U.S. Senate or House of Representatives. On the state level, however, we are still basically conservative although that is changing too. So, Canadians are basically Socialists; albeit some who lean right on some issues. We here who are conservative are fighting hard to keep Socialism/Communism out of this country. Let Canadians have their preferred political bent and we will keep our free Democratic Republic which is founded on a Judeo-Christian ethic and the Constitution. grin

You did not even start to answer the question asked.

I am well aware, that it would b unwise for Canada to become the 51st State. Much of Canada is like California politically.
I have even heard it said that if Canada became the 51st State, Trump would likely be the last Republican President. I wonder if President Trump has thought about that?

My concern, is coming because even among Conservative Christians in Canada; who agree with much of what President Trump is doing. Are hesitating going to the US because of all the uncertainty.
I need to at least research that area, before planning a holiday.

By the way, my views have earned me titles such as a “traitor”, “misogynist” “homophob”
“bigot”, etc…

Stay out of the big BLUE cities and you will be fine. Florida and most of the South is fine. Financially the country is fine and on the road to recovery. What else might you be hesitant about? scratchchin Oh yeh, the Canadian dollar is rather poor vs the US dollar so things would definitely be more expensive, although the prices for things in Canada are very high for the most part vs. the same objects in the U.S.

Re: name calling... looks like you are believing and speaking the right things to be honored with the woke slurs hurled at you. Disagree with a Leftist radical and those are the expected terms thrown around. Welcome to the club. giggle

Yes, a friend and I are taking the name calling like a badge of honour. Not that we really want to, but…

I was actually talking about this issue with a good friend today. He said, he would not drive into the USA with Canadian plates, but other than that, he would not be concerned about entering the USA.
He said, Americans entering Canada also need to be careful.
However, right now Albertans driving into British Columbia, really are no different. Their government, is hated by many in B.C. and many ignorant people are silly enough to do stupid things about that.
Bottom line, ignorant people usually act out of their ignorance. Nothing new about that.

By the way, if the rest of Canada does not start acting better towards Alberta, we might just see them vote to take up President Trumps offer.

By the way, I just watched a related Charlie Kirk Interview with the head of Rebel New Ezra Levant.

Tom, you are making absolutely no sense. Sounds like you’re buying into Canadian media propaganda. Americans couldn’t care less. We are a very self absorbed people. Your presence would barely register. If you were Middle Eastern maybe you should be concerned.

I might be making no sense, because you live in the USA.
Up here in Canada, Canadians are continuously being fed lies, by
the leftist media.
I know better than to trust them and that is why I ask actual Americans.
What Pilgrim said is helpful.

Hope you get where I am coming from.
