Kyle: Good read. I like this:

"The impotence of Darwinian theory in accounting for the molecular basis of life is evident not only from the analyses in this book (Darwin's Black Box), but also from the complete absence in the professional scientific literature of any detailed models by which complex biochemical systems could have been produced ... In the face of the enormous complexity that modern biochemistry has uncovered in the cell, the scientific community is paralyzed."

The best evidence is from Gen 1:1
"In the beginning God created....." However this evidence is seen with the eyes of the heart. Eph 1:18, 19: The eyes of your understanding(heart)being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power."

Behe, Dembski (Mere Creation) and others are arguing "Intelligent Design" without reference to the designer. This keeps the argument in the "scientific arena" and hopefully palatable to "science teachers" etc. Then....the theologians can pick it up and bring the argument to the "theological arena". There the designer can be identified!

Dave

Dave, Dave, Dave don't date yourself ultimately its a lousy date. I'm mean think of it going out to eat, holding hands with yourself, whispering sweet nothings to yourself. It just doesn't work.

In reply to:
[color:"blue"]"If humans evolved from apes, then why are there still apes?"

(Fred) That is a typical fallacy on the part of Christians to try and refute evolution. Just so we can be clear and concise in our apologetic endeavors we need to know our opponents true understanding. Typical evolutionary thought teaches that men and apes have a common ancestor. Apes branched off into one direction, humanity into another. Hence the reason there is supposedly 90+% similarity between apes and men (according to the evolutionist) and the reason there are still apes that are not evolving into humans.

Fred

Fred,

You make a valid point and it should be well taken by all. However, what I have always wondered, even when I was an Atheist and hated anything and everything to do with God and creation.... Where are all the intermediate species that have evolved? Shouldn't there be living evidence of at least a FEW of these alleged animals and/or humans? I suppose we could say that Arminians are the Neanderthals and Roman Catholics are Peking Man relatives..... but I don't think that cuts the mustard!

In His Grace,
