Not really, just conjecturing.

I know that, in general terms, the NEA disapproves of homeschooling. Since the NEA is one of the largest special interest groups of the Democratic Party, and that the NEA has more member delegates to the Democratic National Cconvention than any other organization. I would think that the Dems would do all that it is political feasible to curtail the homeschool movement.
