I and my daughter have been doing the Bible in a Year. Of course, we're now through Leviticus. She asked some really good questions about what it means to be 'ritually unclean' and I'm afraid that my research hasn't been entirely helpful.
What did it mean to the ancient Jews? Surely not that they had lost salvation for a time, then got it back in the evening? Was it representative of their sinfulness?
What about us today? What lesson should we draw from it?
