I don't want to throw a "wet blanket" on your enthusiasm for this program but I thought I would share a few things which perhaps you and others may want to know:
  • This program does take quite a performance hit: 19 megs of memory sitting idle.
  • The default setting is to run at Startup, which you may want to disable in the program's Options due to the above and start it manually when needed.
  • Should you choose to uninstall InstaVerse, be aware that it leaves behind 3 folders which are full of files, the majority of which are links to "Ads". They are found in the C:\Program Files\Cross Shared or C:\Program Files\InstaVerse folder (the installation folder). It also leaves behind 2 Registry entries which appear to be harmless, but unnecessary, nonetheless. Therefore, I would suggest running a decent Registry Cleaner to be sure that all left-behind entries are removed, e.g., RegSupreme or jv16 PowerTools.
  • I would suggest that you run a full system scan with a good antispyware program, e.g., Ad-aware, Spybot S&D, MS Antispyware, etc. just to make sure that no "baddies" are resident. Sorry, but I was going to do this before I uninstalled the program but I got sidetracked doing something else and forgot to do this, which I fully intended to do. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/stupidme.gif" alt="" />

I found the program does do what it claims to do and it does it well. Personally, I don't have a real need for it but I did want to try it to satisfy my curiosity. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
